David Lynch in Blue, 2014
3ft x 4ft acrylic with aluminum foil

Chris: I did this for myself after seeing some inspiring photos of David. I wanted to make his hair as silver as possible.  I bought some metallic silver paint, but it looked too dull on the canvas so I started applying heavy duty aluminum foil with acrylic Matte Medium being used as the glue to compose the hair.  The piece just recently sold to a collector in Austin, Texas.
